Supporting Students. Connecting Resources. Promoting Success

¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ»ÆƬ’s Student Care & Intervention Team (SCIT) is dedicated to fostering a caring, supportive, and safe campus community by connecting students with the resources they need to overcome challenges and achieve success.

How Student Concerns Are Assessed

Every referral is carefully reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of professionals representing several areas across campus.

The Student Care & Intervention Team evaluates concerns using nationally recognized best practices in higher education behavioral assessment and case management. When appropriate, the team utilizes the NABITA Risk Rubric as one component of its assessment process to help evaluate the level of concern, promote consistency in decision-making, and determine appropriate interventions.

Our Approach

The Student Care & Intervention Team believes that most students need support—not punishment.

We recognize that students face a variety of life challenges that can affect their academic success and overall well-being. Our goal is to identify concerns early, coordinate resources, remove barriers, and help students remain engaged in their education.

When concerns involve a potential risk to the student or others, the team responds using a structured assessment process that prioritizes both student well-being and campus safety.
